PE Review Course for ChE’s - Helping Your Career Grow with Professional Licensure

Instructor: Dr. Pete Burban, PE, Associate Professor of Engineering at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, since 2001. Pete earned his B.S.Ch.E at the University of Illinois and his Ph.D. Ch.E. at the University of Delaware. Registered engineer in Ohio since 2006.

Course Schedule:
Saturday from 8:30am - 12:30pm
August 23, 2008; September 13, 2008; and October 11, 2080.
Open to all ChE’s in the local area.

Location:
Bowersville,OH Town hall. Take I-71, exit 58 North 1.5 miles. On the NE corner of Maysville & Xenia Sts.

Course Content:
The Principles & Practice of Engineering (PE) Review Course consists of 12 hours of instruction, on 3 half-day Saturday sessions, focusing on problem solving techniques needed for the Professional Engineers.

Topics Covered:
HOW TO PREPARE; Mass & Energy Balance; Thermodynamics; Fluid Mechanics; Mass Transfer; Heat Transfer; Kinetics; Plant Design and Economics.

State Exam Dates: October 24, 2008 and April 24, 2009
