In
addition to the continuing education courses offered by AIChE National, the Ohio
Valley Section typically offers one short course each year. Every other
year a PE review course is offered. We are open to considering other
training topics that are of interest to local section members. As an
example, AIChE can arrange for most of their national course offerings to
be held in Cincinnati. There are also many providers of technical,
management, computer or other courses that can be offered to the section.

The section is looking for a coordinator for training opportunities. If you
have an interest in a specific training topic, or are interested in
becoming the chair of the Continuing Education Committee, please contact
our section chair, John Tiffany at JCTiffany@gmail.com.
Awards
In the past, the AIChE offered college scholarships to studends from the
area when funds were available. The funds were distributed to graduating
high school seniors planning to pursue a chemical engineering degree. We
are currently seeking corporate sponsors for the scholarships.
