The
Ohio Valley Section (OVS) of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) serves the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The OVS region
encompasses eighteen surrounding counties in the tri-state area (Ohio,
Indiana, and Kentucky). The Section has over 430 members who are employed
in a wide variety of industries, governmental agencies, and universities.
This diversity brings an interesting blend of knowledge and experience to
the Section.
The primary objectives of our Section are the promotion of:
- The profession of chemical engineering and high
professional standards among its members
- Closer professional and personal relations among
the members
- The aims, purposes, and Code of Ethics of the
American Institute of Chemical Engineers
- Cordial and helpful relations with the faculties
and students of nearby institutions giving courses in chemical
engineering
- Continuing education
in technical and other aspects of chemical engineering and allied
engineering sciences
